Police nab top 3 most wanted, drug suspect

LAWMEN have arrested one of the most wanted persons and a drug suspect in separate law enforcement operations in the region, the police reported Saturday, May 8, 2021.

Police Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted person as Waray Colasito alias Jessie Bacalangco and the drug suspect as Jhobembo Auditor, 36.

Chang said Colasito was arrested on the strength of warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail around 12:15 a.m. Saturday in Purok 5 in Concepcion village, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Chang said Colasito was listed as the number three most wanted person in the municipality of Kabasalan.

She said Auditor, a driver by profession, was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 8 p.m. Friday in Purok Madaiton in Lingasad village, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte.

Chang said Auditor yielded some P20,400 worth of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and other illegal drug paraphernalia.

She said the suspect was detained at the Municipal Police Station of Polanco while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
