Police, PDEA seize P6.8-M ‘shabu'

JOINT police and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested a newly-identified drug personality and seized some P6.8 million worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a drug bust in Zamboanga City.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) identified the arrested suspect as Alnajim Sarail alias Nadz, 29, a newly-identified drug personality.

The police said the suspect was arrested by joint police and PDEA operatives around 1:45 p.m. Friday at Tambis Drive, Camanchile Street in Zone III Village.

The police said seized from the suspect were a kilo of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million and P1 million boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money.

The suspect was detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him, the police added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
