Policemen nab 2 high-value suspects, seize P1-M shabu

TWO high-value drug suspects were arrested while more than P1 million illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in this southern port city, the police reported Monday, November 28, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Alhammad Ahadani alias Santi, 41, a watch- listed high-value individual (HVI), and Jessei Tumacmol, Jr., 38, a newly-identified HVI.

Lorenzo said Ahadani and Tumacmol were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1:13 a.m. Sunday, November 27, at a motel in Canelar village, this city.

Lorenzo said seized from the two arrested suspects were some 150 grams of suspected shabu packed in three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P1,020,000, cellular phone, sling bag color black, 129 pieces of counterfeit P1,000 bill used as boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 used as marked money.

He said the two suspects were detained at the headquarters of ZCPO’s Station 11 while charges for violation of Republic Act otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
