THE police are conducting an in-depth probe to determine who threw a fetus into the drainage at a restaurant in Zamboanga City.

The Zamboanga City Police Office reported that the fetus was found around 1:50 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at a restaurant along Mayor Cesar Climaco Avenue in Zone III village, this city.

The police said an employee of the restaurant was cleaning the dishwashing area to unclog the drainage when he saw a greasy object and decided to take it off.

“While trying to take it off, he was surprised that it was the head of a dead fetus,” the police station said in its report.

The drainage where the dead was discovered is connected to this city’s drainage tunnel.

The fetus was placed into transparent cellophane and was brought to Villa Funeral Homes, according to the police. (SunStar Zamboanga)
