POLICE Colonel Bonard Briton has urged the local government units (LGUs) and all government agencies in Tawi-Tawi to extend their full support to the new provincial police director as they have supported him during his stint in the province.

Briton made the call as he relinquished command to Police Colonel Ronaldo Fulo on Friday, November 5, with Police Brigadier General Eden Ugale, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) director, as the presiding officer.

Briton also urged Fulo to take care and serve the province of Tawi-Tawi the best way he can.

"Ang tanging hiling ko lang sa'yo (PCol Fulo), alagaan mo ang Tawi-Tawians (I have only one request to you [Colonel Fulo], take care of the Tawi-Tawians)," Briton told his successor.

Before signing his relinquishment order, Briton conveyed his gratitude to the organizations, agencies, and individuals, especially the Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi headed by Governor Yshmael Sali, and local chief executives of the 11 municipalities who supported him in his almost two-year post at the Tawi-Tawi Provincial Police Office.

"There are two expressions that summarize my feelings, I am blessed, and it's an honor to serve (Tawi-Tawi)," he said.

Briton, who will be re-assigned to PRO-BAR, was awarded the Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) and various plaques and tokens of appreciation for his meritorious and invaluable service to the people of the province of Tawi-Tawi. (SunStar Zamboanga)
