THE Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) has completed the implementation of P9.9 million worth of projects inside Camp Navarro, which houses the Westmincom headquarters in Zamboanga City.

The completed project included the P7-million rehabilitation of the Westmincom Gymnasium and the P2.9-million renovation of the multi-purpose building.

The two newly completed facilities are now ready to cater to various sports and fitness activities and other social events.

Colonel Harley Flores, the command chaplain, presided over the blessing ceremony of the two projects on Friday, August 5. The ceremony was attended by top officials, personnel and civilian employees of Westmincom.

Lieutenant General Alfredo Rosario Jr., commander of the Westmincom, expressed his deep appreciation to the Department of Public Works and Highways and all those who in one way or the other extended support for the realization and completion of the two projects.

Rosario said the two facilities will serve as inspirations to the uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of Westmincom to always be physically and mentally fit to accomplish their respective duties and responsibilities. (SunStar Zamboanga)
