Woman nabbed with P40-K shabu

POLICEMEN backed by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested a suspected big-time drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Sabrina Suarez, 38, a resident of Putik village.

Galvez said Suarez was arrested after she handed over a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000 in a buy-bust operation around 3:10 p.m. Monday along Sun Street in Purok 5 in the village of Tumaga, this city.

Confiscated from the possession of Suarez was a medium-sized sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P40,000 and P1,000 marked money consisting of one P500 bill and five P100 bills.

She said the suspect is detained at the headquarters of Police Station 4 while appropriate charges are being prepared against her. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
