Zamboanga anti-drug stings net 7 persons, P786,000 shabu

SEVEN people, including a village official and two suspected big-time pushers, were arrested, while P786,760 worth of illegal drugs were seized in a series of anti-drug operations in Zamboanga Peninsula.

Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Regional Office Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspects as Ar-Jay Albina, 25; Marmi Magallanes, 31; Alvin Kamsusi, 33, Arjin Susia, 33; Rhoda Rubio, 22; Alrasdy Ajahum, 27; and Ryan Galvez, 36.

Ylagan Said that Albina and Magallanes were arrested in an anti-drug operation around 9:40 p.m. Monday, June 28, in Purok Santan, Santa Maria village, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

Albina, he added, is the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilor in Gatas village, Pagadian City.

The two suspects yielded P6,120 worth of shabu packed in three heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.

Kamsusi and Susia were arrested in an anti-drug operation around 6:50 p.m. Monday, June 28, in a motel in Camino Nuevo village, Zamboanga City.

Recovered from the two were 110 grams of shabu worth P748,000, two smartphones, P500 marked money, an electrical weighing scale, a pouch, and a sling bag, according to Ylagan.

Ylagan said that Rubio, Ajahum, and Galvez were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday in Baliwasan village, Zamboanga City.

Seized from three were 4.8 grams of shabu worth P32,640, a coin purse, and P300 marked money.

Ylagan said formal charges will be filed against the arrested suspects. (SunStar Zamboanga)
