Zamboanga City distributes 35 housing units

Sunnexdesk

THE Zamboanga City Government, through the Housing and Land Management Division (HLMD), recently turned over to deserving beneficiaries 35 housing units located at the Azcuna Resettlement project in Mercedes.

The housing units were constructed by the Ummah Welfare Trust, a local non-government organization headed by Sheikh Mohamed Abdelraouf and spouse Ma. Socorro Talon. These were awarded for free to the beneficiaries.

HLMD officer-in-charge Rodrigo Pagoisidro said the NGO committed to continuously construct housing units to be given for free to indigent and underprivileged families of the Azcuna resettlement site.

Pagoisidro said the family-beneficiaries will pay only for the lot through the community mortgage program (CMP). (Bong Garcia)
