Zamboanga City Government adopts skeletal workforce

THE local government will operate under a skeletal workforce and work from home arrangement as Zamboanga City shifted to general community quarantine (GCQ) effective May 16.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the scheme is pursuant to Civil Service Commission's (CSC) guidelines for alternative work arrangements and support mechanisms for workers in the government during the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

Salazar said the work schedule under the GCQ are as follows: For May 18-22, Group A will report from Monday to Wednesday, while Group B from Thursday to Friday.

The mayor said the Group B will report from Monday to Wednesday, while Group A from Thursday to Friday thereafter from May 25 to 20, unless there are new guidelines from CSC.

June first and second weeks, Group A will report Monday to Wednesday, while Group B will be from Thursday to Friday.

Group B will report from Monday to Wednesday, while Group A from Thursday to Friday on the third and fourth weeks of June.
