City Government releases P1.6-M aid to fire victims

THE City Government released on Monday, November 12, P1.6-million financial assistance to fire victims in Zamboanga City.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar spearheaded the distribution of the financial assistance to 401 families affected by different fire incidents.

Socorro Rojas, head of the City Social Welfare and Development Office, said house owners whose properties were damaged received P5,000, while those whose properties were destroyed got P3,000.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
