Zamboanga City holds Aquathlon competition

DOZENS of athletes have participated in the first-ever Fiesta na Once Islas Aquathlon on Sunday, May 21, jointly organized by the City Tourism Office and the Zamboanga Runners Club.

This, as the City Government continues to bring fun and excitement through worthwhile activities in celebration of the Zamboanga Verano Festival (Summer Festival) 2023.

City Tourism Office Sarita Sebastian said the Aquathlon was a two-stage race for running and swimming and was participated by athletes of all ages.

The activity has three categories and these are the solo race male; solo race female; and, relay.

The winners in the solo race male are: Paz Adjilano, 1st placer; Abdulmahid Berto, 2nd placer; and, Vryan Mark Yu, 3rd placer.

The winners in the solo race female are: Danielle Filoteo, 1st placer; Cheska Filoteo, 2nd placer; and, Althea Lleonet Rico, 3rd placer.

The winners in relay are: John Adbdul, 1st placer, Jethro Paul Abilla, 2nd placer; and, Jedd Rauf Marrack, 3rd placer.
