THE city government has launched a vlogging competition for professionals and enthusiasts to showcase the best of Zamboanga City.

The #ILoveZamboangaCity Vlog Competition, launched as part of the upcoming Summer na Zamboanga 2019, is anchored on the theme “Ten Things I Love about Zamboanga” to convey messages of positivity and showcase the city’s tourism, food, and culture.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said a vlog, or a video blog, a form of content for which the primary medium is a video and is a form of web television.

Salazar said vlogs contain videos, images, and texts, and cover a wide range of topics and interests, and are usually uploaded on video-sharing platforms for sharing and engagement with audience.

She said the #ILoveZamboangaCity vlog competition is open to all Zamboanga-based vloggers and enthusiasts.

To join, a fully accomplished entry form must be submitted at the City Hall on or before April 30, with the interested vlogger taking part of the orientation meeting on the same day.

The video entry must be submitted via email (zambocitygovt@gmail.com) in mp4 format and following the technical guidelines (available for download at the Zamboanga Hermosa FB page) on running time, size, and resolution, on or before May 17. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
