Zamboanga City mayor administers oath of villages chairpersons

ZAMBOANGA City John Dalipe on Friday, July 1, 2022, administered the oath of three new village chairpersons and one Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairperson, as they serve the unexpired term of their predecessors.

The three new village chairpersons are Almarhiza Kalinggalan, Erwin Barcelona and Allan Dagun, the number one village councilors of San Jose Gusu, Cacao and Cabatangan, respectively.

Kalinggalan assumes the post vacated by San Jose Gusu Village Chairperson Joel Esteban, who is now an elected city councilor.

Barcelona assumes as village chairperson Cacao replacing James Siason, who is also now a city councilor.

Meanwhile, Dagun is now the new village chairperson of Cabatangan to fill the vacancy caused by the death of former chairperson Antonio Saavedra.

On the other hand, Jestoni Alarcon, first ranking SK member of Tugbungan village, took his oath as the SK chairperson.

Barangay Affairs Division Chief Bebot Cortez, Councilor Joel Esteban and family members of the newly appointed officials witnessed the oath-taking ceremonies of the new village officials at the Office of the City Mayor. (SunStar Zamboanga)
