Zamboanga City’s 5th most wanted person arrested

LAWMEN have arrested in a law enforcement operation the fifth most wanted person in Zamboanga City, the police reported Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Reynald Ariño, 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company (2ZCMFC), identified the arrested wanted person as Joel Gamorez Francisco, 38, a native of Basilan province.

Ariño said Francisco was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, at the port area of Isabela City, the capital of Basilan.

He said Francisco is the fifth most wanted person in Zamboanga City and has a standing warrant for murder qualified by treachery with no recommended bail issued by the court of Zamboanga City dated January 9, 2023.

The arrested suspect was taken to the headquarters of the 2ZCMFC for documentation and later be brought to Zamboanga City Police Office Station 8 prior turn over to court concerned. (SunStar Zamboanga)
