Zambo mayor gives P100,000 reward to Coast Guard

ZAMBOANGA City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar has recognized on Thursday, November 15, the efforts of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and its K-9 unit for their contributions to the anti-illegal drugs operations in this city.

Salazar handed over on Thursday, November 15, to PCG officials and K-9 Cali a P100,000 cheque representing this city’s reward to the operatives for detecting the presence of illegal drugs in shipments during a recent operation.

She said the grant of the reward forms part of the city government’s continuing support to the security sector and demonstrates her full support to President Duterte’s priority programs against illegal drugs. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
