Zamboanga Peninsula's 6th drug suspect arrested

AUTHORITIES have arrested a high-value target (HVT) and seized P102,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga Sibugay, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported Monday, October 9, 2023.

Jury Rocamora, PDEA-Zamboanga Sibugay provincial office chief, identified the arrested suspect as Gima Mojackarin, 47, who has been listed as the sixth most wanted in the region.

Rocamora said Mojackarin was nabbed in a drug bust at 10:13 a.m. Monday, October 9, in Purok Venus, Bangkerohan village, Ipil, the capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Mojackarin was arrested after transacting illegal drugs to an undercover PDEA agent.

Recovered from the suspect were 15 grams of shabu packed in 14 heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P102,000, a pouch used as container, a silver cigarette foil used as wrapper, and 18 bills of P1,000 boodle money used as buy-bust money.

The operation was launched by joint team of PDEA, police, and military.

The arrested suspect was placed under the custody of PDEA-Zamboanga Sibugay office in preparation for the filing of case against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
