MANILA-- The Palace told Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and relieved Manila Police Director Rodolfo Magtibay to stop their quarrel and kept their squabble out of the media.

Deputy Presidential Spokeswoman Abigail Valte said the duo should reserve their comments for the proper forum.

"In fending off their charges against each other, they should do it before the proper forum," she said.

Lim and Magtibay have been sniping at each other in news interviews on whom to blame for the August 23 incident.

Malacanang recommended administrative charges against the two based on a report by the Incident Investigation and Review Committee.(Jonathan de Santos/Sunnex)
