4 hurt in Oro road mishap

CAGAYAN DE ORO -- Four people were injured after a motorcycle they were riding was hit by a 10-wheeler truck Saturday night at Kauswagan Highway, Cagayan de Oro City.

Injured were the motorcycle driver Michael Mayale, 38, a resident of Bayabas town, Cagayan de Oro; Michael Daayata, 25, from Manggahan, Balulang; Midelyn dela Torre, 50, and Josephine dela Torre, 30, both from Bayabas.

They sustained several bruises from different parts of their bodies.

Mayale said they were crossing Kauswagan Highway from a market in Carmen to drop a passenger off at Bayabas when the truck hit them.

The victims were rushed to Northern Mindanao Medical Center for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the 10-wheeler truck, who fled after the incident, is now in custody of the Roads and Traffic Administration for investigation. (Sunnex)
