8 hurt in Sulu attack

EIGHT people were reportedly injured after an armed group attacked the camp of Tongkil Mayor Wahid Sahidulla in Sulu.

In a Bombo Radyo report, 3rd Marine Brigade chief Mario Montejo said the tension between the two parties started Tuesday.

He said the injured were three from the mayor's camp and five from the armed group.

With this, the military has intensified its operations in the area to maintain order as the October 25 village and youth polls are approaching. (Sunnex)
