2 more Yanson bus firms under OVY, LRY control

TWO more subsidiaries of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) -- Goldstar Bus Transit Inc. (GBTI) and Ceres Transport Inc. (CTI) -- held their annual stockholders meeting Monday, February 1.

The controlling camp, in a press statement, said that during the stockholders meeting of GBTI, Leo Rey Yanson (LRY), Ginnette Yanson-Dumancas, lawyer Collin Derk Isidto, Hernan Omecillo, and Danny Lorenton were re-elected as members of the Board of Directors.

During the meeting of CTI, on the other hand, Yanson-Dumancas and LRY, along with Yanson matriarch, Olivia V. Yanson (OVY), Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Daniel Nicolas Golez, Arvin Villaruel, Anita Chua, Joseph Ellery Villanueva, Hernan Omecillo, and Alfredo Ligo, were also re-elected as members the Board.

The newly-elected directors of both corporations likewise held an organizational meeting where LRY was re-appointed as chairman of the Board and president.

OVY, meanwhile, was re-appointed as corporate secretary and treasurer.

Despite due notice, stockholders Roy Yanson and Ricardo Yanson Jr. were absent, it said.

The CTI and GBTI are among the two companies under the YGBC operating in Luzon.

Its chairman and president said that despite the challenges they faced in 2020, the biggest bus conglomerate in the country remains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all.
