3 projects in La Castellana inaugurated

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and La Castellana Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan, along with other officials, inaugurated three projects in the southern Negros Occidental locality on Thursday, July 8, 2021.

These were the La Castellana New Public Market, Mandayao Legacy Park and Tourism Comfort Room.

Lacson, who spoke at the event, advised the local government and people of La Castellana to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the public market.

He said the market is the center of economy of every local government.

Mangilimutan, for her part, thanked the governor for the provincial government’s support to the development projects of the municipal government.

Meanwhile, the development of the Tourism Comfort Room and Mandayao Legacy Park that hosts the Century Leaf Garden in Barangay Mansalanao are part of the measures to prepare the tourism industry under the new normal.

These are poised to boost tourism not only in La Castellana but also in the whole province.

Also present in the activity were La Castellana Vice Mayor Manuel Vera and Sangguniang Bayan Members, Provincial Tourism Officer Jennylind Cordero, Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa, businessman Frankie Uy, and Federico Infante of the Municipal Government of Pulupandan, among others. (PR)
