SIXTY-EIGHT agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in northern Negros Occidental have completed the Farm Business School (FBS) program.

The graduation ceremonies were held at Barangay Magticol in Toboso and Barangay Dolis in Calatrava on October 24 and 25, respectively.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental–North, in a press release, said FBS is a program under the Client-Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) implemented by the agency.

In partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and local government units (LGUs), it aims to enhance the entrepreneurial and marketing skills of the farmers to be able to run an efficient and profitable agribusiness.

The program also enabled the farmers to learn and improve knowledge, change attitudes, and enhance skills needed for making their farm more productive and profitable, it added.

Of the total recipient-ARBs, 33 are members of Pasto Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Toboso town. The other 35 ARBs are members of Dolis Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Calatrava.
