A VOCAL and music teacher, and has been the national director for the United Arab Emirates Team for four years, won the 2022 Outstanding Vocal Coach of the year during the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA).

Elipas Sibua of Barangaty 2 in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental was among over a hundred vocal coaches from the 32 countries nominated for this title.

Now on its 25th Anniversary, WCOPA was held at the massive complex of Disneyland in Anaheim City in California last July 22-30, 2022.

WCOPA, staged the “Talent Olympics,” is a prestigious event where different talents worldwide vie for the title to be the best of the best.

WCOPA is the only official international competition program for seasoned and up-and-coming performers and entertainers held annually and judged by “Hollywood” industry professionals.

Sibua returned and paid a courtesy visit to Sipalay City Mayor Maria Gina M. Lizares on August 8, 2022, at her office.

Sibua presented his award to Lizares as he shared the honor to the people of Sipalay.

He hopes to inspire his fellow Sipalaynons and Negrenses to follow their dreams.

Nothing is impossible when you are determined to chase your dream and make it come true.

For her part, Lizares lauded Sibua for his remarkable achievement saying the people of Sipalay are proud of the latter.
