MANILA -- Parts of Mindanao and Palawan will continue to experience cloudy and rainy weather in the next three days due to Intertropical Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting these areas, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

In an interview, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather forecaster Jori Loiz said the ITCZ will continue to bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains in Mindanao until Friday.

Loiz said the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible passing rains due to localized thunderstorms in the next two to three days.

He said many parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience a “hotter weather with less rains” until Friday due to a monsoon break.

For Wednesday forecast, Pagasa said Mindanao, Western Visayas, and Mimaropa will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Pagasa said the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds coming from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Light to moderate winds coming from the southwest to south will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
