Farm schools receive android tablets

THE Department of Education distributed 114 tablets for the use of teachers and students of three farm schools in the cities of Himamaylan and La Carlota, Negros Occidental recently.

Of that number, 76 were distributed to Mambagaton and Paloypoy Integrated Farm Schools in Himamaylan City.

The distribution was led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Reynaldo Gico and Mayor Rogelio Tongson and other city officials.

Tongson reiterated his commitment to collaborate with the Schools Division Office of Himamaylan in its programs, projects, and activities.

He also pledged his continuing support to the newly established farm schools and highlighted some of the city's development plans, such as the establishment of buildings and offices, road development programs that will provide market accessibility to hinterland products, and connectivity among barangays in the city.

Meanwhile, 38 tablets were also given to the La Granja Farm Schools in La Carlota City by Department of Education Regional Regional Director Dr. Ramir Uytico.

Prior to the distribution, the farm school advisers evaluated and validated deserving learners to determine the recipients of the tablets. (PR)
