Ilonggos, Negrenses give aid to Taal victims

Carla N. Canet

SOME kind hearted Ilonggos and Negrenses took the initiative to extend urgent relief support and assistance to affected communities of the Taal volcano eruption that sowed extensive devastations to innumerable residents and properties.

The group called themselves "FromNegrosWithLove#ParaSaTaal #LakbayinAngPilipinas," spearheaded by Hinobaan Councilor Jason Tembrevilla Tupas.

Tupas has encouraged others to initiate giving of donations that led to others sending their aid through their group.

The forms of assistance that they received were boxes of face masks, cash, water containers, other relief goods, and generator sets.

It has been the councilor’s passion to help since the Marawi conflict, the North Cotabato earthquake, the typhoon victims in Capiz and now the Taal eruption victims in Batangas.

The young legislator has personally seen the harshness of the disaster that pinched his heart to take the necessary action to extend help.

The group prayed that more people will show concern and send their donations to the victims through them.

Indeed, a worthwhile initiative that could only come from genuine sympathy and compassion to those who lost their lives, their homes and even their livelihood.

Kudos!
