FASHION shows start to dominate the entertainment scene as local talents in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental have romped their myriad of wardrobes that tickled the target crowd during the staging of the Going on 13, all events fashion show 2020 as directed by Dwight Rosslyn A. Moraña, Jr., held at the main atrium of Robinsons Place Bacolod on February 16.

There were several fashion models who made their way to the catwalk but among those who got the spotlight was the tandem of mother and daughter April and Kyoko Kitagawa, Bacolodnons with Filipino-Japanese lineage.

Kyoko is among the Kickstart Models Runway. Their group of budding fashion models took the center stage and wowed the audience.

Part of the show was the parade of solo masterpieces of the Association of Negros Designers and the collection of premier Bacolod designer Tony de Ramos.

April said she fully supports the pursuit of her daughter Kyoko whom she saw great potential to connect competently in the fashion realm.

“I saw great improvements in her confidence to comfortably wear all sorts of apparels. Her beauty naturally conforms with the clothing that she was asked to wear. Her being a Filipino-Japanese brought her a distinctive charm and elegance. I am a proud mother of Kyoko and I will be here to support her all the way in her present and future endeavors,” April humbly shared.

When April was also asked for tandem with Kyoko to take the fashion ramp, she never hesitated to take it, citing her past experience as a former Eat Bulaga Beautiful Girl rival way back in the ‘80s.

And besides, it was an opportunity to similarly boost the enthusiasm of Kyoko to take the center stage with her adding that, “In real life, we do the same. We support and help each other face challenges and it is indeed a good tandem.”

Kyoko was also delighted with her mom as their tandem in both the real and fashion realm, have turned out considerably well.
