'Samgyeopsal' clicks in Pinoy households

KOREAN culture does not just infest the preference of locals but likewise its culinary selections.

The most prominent now is the Samgyeopsal or grilled pork belly mix with extra ingredients like shrimp, squid, hotdog, crab sticks, the spicy kimchi, and the lettuce.

Since family seldom go out now for a weekend dinner or get together with a few members, they just prepare this cuisine for an enjoyable evening at the comforts of their homes.

Korean cuisine - Samgyeopsal is now considered part of the household treat where one can enjoy having a tasteful, safe, and delightful feast with family as part of the new normal.

Samgyeopsal became popular in the Philippines with the entry of Korean drama and films that captured the interest of many locals and Filipinos in general who spent more time watching those "kilig Korean films" while under the community quarantine until such pattern carried the people's impulse to also try the said Korean cuisine.

Everybody gets quite excited when Samgyeopsal is cooked and served as it invites one's enthusiasm for Korean food.

One good thing about Samgyeopsal is that you always eat it hot right from the griller using chopsticks as you mix it with the Korean spices covered by the green leafy lettuce.

Samgyeopsal is indeed one pleasurable experience.
