A MAN and a woman were injured after they were shot by an unidentified assailant at the mill section of Maricalum Mining Corporation (MMC) in Barangay San Jose, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday.

Police identified the victims as Etchel Asiong, 29, of Barangay San Isidro, Montalban Rizal province; and Ian Amad, 27, of Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City.

Police records showed that the two victims were sleeping at the building when the assailant arrived and fired at them past 4 a.m.

Both victims sustained gunshot wounds and were brought to a hospital in Bacolod City.
