SOME 200 gun owners and enthusiasts from E. B. Magalona and nearby cities renewed their licenses during the one-day License To Own and Possess Firearm Registration (LTOPFR) Caravan, at the town’s public plaza yesterday, September 23.

Captain Eric Doronila, acting chief of police of E. B. Magalona PNP, said Mayor Marvin Malacon has requested from the Police Regional Office (PRO) - 6 the conduct of LTOPFR Caravan in his municipality.

Through this, the residents of the town will no longer need to travel Iloilo City to renew their firearms’ licenses, as the regional offices of these concerned government agencies are based there.

Doronila thanked Malacon for funding the one-stop-shop caravan, which ran from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Among the services at the caravan are the issuance of National Police Clearance, Status Verification from Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO), Neuro-Psychiatric Clearance, and Drug Test Clearance.

Also availing of the caravan services were gun owners from the cities of Bacolod, Talisay, Silay, Victorias, and Cadiz and the town of Manapla, Doronila said.* (PR)
