24 Nocppo personnel still unvaxxed

TWENTY-FOUR personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) remain unvaccinated against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, spokesperson of Nocppo, said these personnel who chose not to get vaccinated have "legitimate reasons" and executed their waivers.

Donasco said 2,030 of their personnel are fully vaccinated, while 332 have recently received their first dose. That is 99 percent of their total personnel, she said.

Nocppo's report on vaccinated personnel was released after Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Dionardo Bernardo Carlos proposed a "no vax, no job" policy on Monday, December 6.

But Donasco said they have not yet received any mandate from the national headquarters regarding the chief PNP's order.

It would not hinder any of their operations since Nocppo had posted a high vaccination rate, she added.
