SEVEN drug suspects, including three siblings, were arrested and yielded about P300,000 worth of suspected shabu in two successive buy-bust operations in the cities of San Carlos and Kabanklan on June 26 and 27, respectively.

James "Jinggoy" Santillan, 29; his neighbor Johnrey Garnica, 29, also of Barangay 6; Edjun Artaba, 33, of Barangay 1; and Roger Libre, 42, of Barangay Rizal, all of San Carlos City, were arrested with nine sachets of the banned substance weighing 15 grams and valued at P102,000.

The police said they were caught past noon Monday after Santillan reportedly transacted with a police poseur buyer in the city’s Barangay 6.

Aside from the banned substance, also recovered from the suspects were several drug paraphernalia and the P500 buy bust money, police records showed.

On Sunday evening, siblings Ruel Jr., 30, Dunn, 28, and Emily Vicente, 43, were arrested at their residence along Rivera Street in Barangay 3, Kabankalan City after one of them also tried to sell shabu to a poseur buyer.

Kabankalan City Police Station said the male suspects are both high-value targets while Emily Vicente, a tricycle driver, is only a street level individual.

The police recovered 15 sachets of suspected shabu weighing at least 35 grams and valued at P238,000, illegal drug paraphernalia, and the P1,000 buy-bust money from the suspects following their arrests.

They are now detained at the lockup cells of San Carlos and Kabankalan City Police Stations.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Anti-Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them.
