FOR still unknown reason, six officials from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) were already transferred to Antique Police Provincial Office (Appo) effective September 10.

Nocppo spokesperson Lt. Judesess Catalogo said yesterday, September 12, that the officials who were transferred included Lt. Col. Jigger Gimeno, chief of the Police Community Affairs Development Unit, Lt. Lynie Potato Delos Santos, deputy of the Murcia Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Lt. Rex Forro Lendong, deputy chief of La Castellana Municipal Police Station.

Catalogo said that other officials who were relieved and transferred were Lt. Alfonso Precia, deputy chief of Cadiz City Police Station, Lt. Jomel Salarda, deputy of Kabankalan City Police Station and Lt. Charles Richard Casalan, deputy chief of Binalbagan Municipal Police Station.

Catalogo stressed that their relief and reassignment were ordered by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 acting Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco.

“We are still waiting whether the PRO-6 will be assigning new officials in lieu of those who were relieved or Nocppo will have to look for their replacement instead,” he said.

Meanwhile, Gimeno will be replaced by Police Major Ruel Culanag effective yesterday.

Culanag was previously the head of the Bacolod City Traffic Authority Office.*
