ABANG Lingkod Partylist Representative Joseph Stephen Paduano said he allocated P8 million for Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP).

"I told Mayor (Alfredo Abeladro) Albee (Benitez) to prepare the contract and I will download the P8 million fund from the Central Office of the Department of Health to the City of Bacolod which can be used until December for the BacCHP program," Paduano said.

Aside from the P8 million, Paduano noted that Malasakit Partylist Representative Anthony Golez also committed another P2 million for the BacCHP.

He will also extend an additional fund for BacCHP in the amount of P10 million from his Assistance to Individuals in Crisis situations (AICS) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) next year.

"So, there is no problem as far as funding support of the BacCHP program is concerned," Paduano said.

As one of the administration's flagship programs, the BacCHIP covers an array of health services that can be availed by every resident in times of emergency or health distress.

BacCHP continues its medical assistance to Bacolodnons with its month-long community consulta to all 61 barangays.

In its second week, BacCHP community consultant has catered to an average of 41 residents in Barangay Bata and other barangays such as Alangilan, Banago, Bata, Felisa, Handumanan, Mansilingan, Pahanocoy, Punta Taytay, Vista Alegre since Monday, September 19, and ongoing at Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).

Community consulta includes checking of vital signs, urinalysis, oxygen saturation, blood testing (levels on sugar, uric acid, cholesterol, and hemoglobin), electrocardiogram (ECG), and giving out prescribed medicine after a free consultation with the doctor.
