BRIGADIER General Benedict Arevalo, 303rd Brigade commander, is warning students against the alleged deception of the New People’s Army (NPA) in recruiting students.

Arevalo made the warning in a short lecture to the students of Bago City College (BCC) about the “Deceptive Youth Recruitment Strategy of the CPP-NPA-NDF” in Bago City on Monday, December 2.

Arevalo showed to the 500 faculty and students, a short animated video entitled “Pindoy”, exposing the modus of the CPP-NPA-NDF in deceiving and misleading the youth to join the NPA. He also emphasized for the students to distinguish activism from supporting terrorism.

During his lecture, Arevalo explained the deceptive schemes of CPP-NPA- NDF in infiltrating the different schools, state colleges and universities and warned the students to be wary of the NDF organizations that they are joining since some will only fool them, fill their hearts with hatred and will distort their minds with lies to convince them to join or support the NPA.

The BCC faculty headed by Professor Sharon Rose Lin Masa, CIDG RFU6 Advisory Council presented a certificate of appreciation to Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo. (TDE)
