THE City Government of Bacolod received an initial 14,980 doses of Moderna vaccines from the National Government Tuesday, August 10.

City Administrator Em Ang, executive director of Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF), said the city received an initial 14,980 doses of Moderna vaccines, the first Moderna Covid-19 vaccines supply delivered in Bacolod.

Aside from Moderna vaccines, she said the city also received an additional 10,000 vials of Sinovac vaccines.

She said this latest vaccine delivery brings the total number of doses received by Bacolod since March 5 to about 254,860 doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

Ang noted that Moderna vaccine is also the fifth brand to be used in the city's vaccination campaign, following Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson.

Ang said the City Government is also expecting the additional delivery of the city-procured AstraZeneca vaccines this August.

The city will administer the vaccines to priority groups A1, A2 and A3, as well as in priority groups A4 and A5.

The city will accommodate only those who have completed their vaccination registration and have received a call or text from the Emergency Operations Center of their confirmed appointments.

To avail themselves of the free vaccination, Bacolod residents should register online through the link tinyurl.com/bcdceironline or go personally to their respective barangay halls.
