OVER P400,000 worth of substance believed to be shabu was seized in a drug bust conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport Monday, April 4.

Arrested were Edwin Alvarez, 55, and Ronnel Dayanan, 37, both residents of the barangay, the police said.

BCPO reported that the suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.

Eighteen sachets of shabu weighing 67 grams, the P1,000 marked money and a sling bag were recovered by the authorities upon their arrest.

Alvarez was identified as a high-value individual, while Dayanan is considered a street level individual.

Their arrests happened five days after two drug suspects were also arrested with P360,400 worth of shabu at SMCI Compound in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on March 31.

Lieutenant Ruby Aurita, deputy police chief of San Carlos City Police Station, said the suspects were identified as Dino Carlo Sebugero, 32, of SMCI compound, and Jopit Villador, 42, of Small Tibucao both in Barangay 1.

Aurita said 10 sachets of the contraband and several illegal drug paraphernalia were recovered from the suspects. (With reports from APN)
