Benitez highlights I-HELP accomplishments

OUTGOING Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez highlighted Thursday night, June 27, 2019, his I-HELP Programs in his last State of the District Address before the local officials in the district from mayors to barangay kagawads.

Benitez, who also leads the Visayan Bloc in Congress and the local political group Love-Negros, has served the district for nine years. He will be succeeded by his younger brother Jose Francisco Benitez.

Governor- elect Eugenio Jose Lacson was also present in the event.

I-HELP stands for Infrastructure, Health, Education, Livelihood and Policy Legislative Agenda.

He bared a total of 214.7 kilometers road constructed worth P6.035 billion from 2011. He has also built 77 barangay halls all over the district taht covers Murcia, Talisay City, Silay City, E.B. Magalona and Victorias City.

A total of P1.2 billion worth of bridges were also constructed in the district since 2011.

Benitez recalled that during the campaign before he was elected congressman, he has been approached by the people asking for medical assistance that's why he has enrolled 77,103 families in the Negros First Comprehensive Health Program in the district.

Benitez also administered the oath of office of his younger brother after he delivered his address.
