THE decomposing body of a fisherman who went missing since last week was found in the waters of Barangay Caliling in Cauayan, Negros Occidental on January 21.

Commander Lodovico Librilla Jr., head of the Philippine Coast Guard-Negros Occidental, identified the fatality as Rommel Palmaira, 15, of Barangay Tapong, Pulupandan town.

He was identified by his relatives.

Librilla said the victim was found by some fishermen past 11 a.m. on Monday, January 21, which prompted them to call for assistance from the authorities.

The victim and his brother went fishing last week but they were reported missing after they failed to go home.

The victim’s brother remains missing as of Wednesday. (GYM)
