College student, 2 others nabbed in separate drug busts

THREE persons, including a college student were arrested in separate drug bust operations in Negros Occidental in the past three days.

In La Carlota City, Leonel Cabalatungan, 24, of Barangay Cubay was arrested after he allegedly sold a shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a police agent for P300 in a transaction held in front of a school at the said village on April 12.

Police recovered from him five sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,500, lighter, and the P300 marked money.

In Kabankalan City, Bernard Ramos, 49; and Edgar Villalva, 42, both residents of Barangay Binicuil were arrested at the said village on April 13 after they allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,000, P1,072.25 in cash, cellular phone, drug paraphernalia, and the P100 marked money.

Both suspects are identified as level-one high value targets, police records showed.
