Couple, 2 others nabbed for drugs, guns

FOUR persons were arrested in separate operations against illegal drugs and loose firearms in Negros Occidental Tuesday, September 11.

In Kabankalan City, Francis Glenn Soliman, 28, of Barangay Camugao, and his partner Jenalyn Zamora, 25, a target subject, of Barangay 4, were arrested in a drug bust at Barangay Camugao.

Both are street-level target drug personalities, who were also previously released after plea bargaining.

Police recovered from the couple 10 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P50, 000, the P100 marked money, P1, 266 in cash, a coin purse, drug paraphernalia, cellular phone, and a .357 caliber revolver loaded with four live ammunition.

In Bacolod City, Jay-r De la Torre, 29, of Barangay Mansilingan was collared for creating alarm and scandal at Barangay Villamonte. He also yielded a sachet of suspected shabu.

De la Torre is detained at Police Station 4.

Also arrested in the city was 19-year-old Romvic Dioso of Barangay Tangub.

He was caught in possession of an improvised firearm locally known as pen gun loaded with a live ammunition of .357 caliber revolver, another live ammunition of .357 caliber revolver, live ammunition of .9mm caliber, and a 9.5-inch ice pick, in front of a public high school in the said village.

Dioso is detained at Police Station 8.
