TWO days ahead of the All Saints' Day, a driver and his back rider died in a motorcycle related accident in E.B. Magalona town, Negros Occidental past 10 p.m. Sunday, October 30.

Captain Eric Doronilla, chief of E.B. Magalona police identified the victims as Joey Ello, 22, and Allan Pual Balino, 21, both of the town’s Barangay Manta-angan.

They died upon arrival at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

Witness John Michael Tusoy told the police that the motorcycle driven by Ello was heading west of the road along Purok Cubay in the town’s Barangay Alicante and was navigating a curve when it hit a concrete post.

“It was not an accident-prone area but it is not well-lighted,” Doronila said, describing the scene of the accident.

The police chief added that the two were not wearing helmets and the motorcycle could have been speeding when the accident happened.
