Drug personality shot dead in Himamaylan

A DRUG personality was shot dead at Crossing Lubi, Barangay Talaban, Himammaylan City on Monday, August 30, 2021.

Police identified the fatality as 43-year-old Marvin Flores Jansen, a resident of the city's Barangay Mambagaton.

Based on initial investigation by the Himamaylan City police, Jansen was heading toward the town of Binalbagan in order to attend a transaction for his bamboo business when he was shot by riding-in-tandem suspects, killing him on the spot.

Police recovered 10 empty .45 caliber shells at the crime scene.

According to Himamaylan City police, Jansen was placed on probation after securing a plea bargaining agreement due to a drug-related charge.

Police are still investigating the motive behind the murder.
