Drunk argument leads to stabbing

A 53-YEAR-OLD man was injured after he was stabbed by his son-in-law in Purok Coton, Barangay Cabadiangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental Monday, March 18.

Police identified the victim as Catalino Libertino of Barangay Cabadiangan.

Investigation showed that before the incident, a heated argument ensued between Libertino and his son-in-law Ron Odruna, 33.

The police said that Libertino and Odruna were under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Odruna took an improvised spear and attacked his father-in-law and hit his stomach.

The victim was brought to the Sipalay City Infirmary but was later transferred to a hospital in Bacolod City.

Odruna was also arrested in follow-up operation and detained at the custodial facility of the Sipalay City Police Station. (MAP)
