Ejercito to increase bed capacity of regular hospital

SENATOR JV Ejercito pledged to increase the bed capacity of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) to 1,000 beds.

“We will have better facilities for the Negrenses and Bacolodnons, so I will make sure to increase the bed capacity of CLMMRH,” said Ejercito.

On another issue, the senator said he supports measures for the full utilization of the P2 billion annual budget allocated for the sugar industry under the Sugarcane Industry Development Act (Sida).

“I agree that after two years of Sida becoming a law, the fund should be maximized. I'm worried because I wanted to help our sugar farmers through that Sida fund,” Ejercito said.

Ejercito was in Bacolod City for the political rally of Hugpong ng Pagbabago at the Panaad stadium.

Ejercito is one of the seven senatorial candidates who got the endorsement of Tatak Kalamay.

Fifty representatives of the various sugar organizations representing sugar producers, small farmers, agrarian reform beneficiaries, and mill and farm workers banded themselves to start a movement named “Tatak Kalamay.”

The endorsement and show of support were made last Saturday, March 23, at the Time Out restaurant in Bacolod City. (TDE)
