BACOLOD City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran urged the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) to double its effort to solve the killing incidents in the city.

Familiaran said Thursday, May 28, that BCPO should conduct a thorough investigation to identify and arrest the suspects in the killings of Randolf Domingo and Roland Tan.

He said the unsolved shooting incidents in the city are alarming.

“Our policemen should intensify its visibility patrol to prevent the possible operation of lawless elements. It’s a challenge to our law enforces to give justice to the family of the victims.” He added.

On Tuesday, Domingo, 38, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, was standing in front of the gasoline station when unidentified gunman, who was wearing mask, on board a motorcycle fired at him several times.

The victim sustained multiple wounds and died on the spot while the gunman along his unidentified companions fled towards north direction.

Police recovered from scene of the crime seven empty shells of .45 caliber and three slugs of .45 caliber.

Police also recovered P200,000 cash, a machine pistol with silencer, magazine loaded with 15 live ammunitions, and a backpack containing wallet with a driver’s license of other person inside the vehicle of the victim. They also recovered P7,000 cash inside the victim’s pocket.

The police are looking into business and drug related as possible motives in the killing of the victim.

Familiaran said policemen should check Domingo’s background why he was carrying that firearm.

On May 21, Tan was also killed by unidentified assailants in Narra Street, Barangay Villamonte.

Tan was about to board his Toyots Åland Cruiser vehicle when three unidentified assailants approached and shot him.

The police are looking into personal grudges or business related as possible motives in the killing of Tan.

On May 16, Gerald Cuadra was also killed by two unidentified assailants at Purok Sibuyas, Barangay 5, Bacolod.

Cuadra was the son of Jose Kim “Boy” Cuadra who was convicted for drug trafficking in July 2006, and is now serving a life term at New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City. (MAP)
