FORMER President and outgoing House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will arrive in Negros Occidental on Friday, June 28, to personally visit the Northern Negros National Park.

The visit is part of her last sentimental journey as House Speaker.

Arroyo will arrive at the Bacolod Silay airport at 2:30 p.m. for a briefing on the recent development on its expansion projects based on the communication from her office.

Thereafter, she will visit the Northern Negros National Park, which she converted into a national park as President in 2005 under the National Integrated Protected Areas System (Nipas) Act by virtue of Proclamation 895.

Arroyo will end her term on June 30.

She has been going around the country for her sentimental journey especially on areas where major projects were built during her presidency.

Arroyo recently visited the Biomas Power Plant in San Carlos City and boarded a roll-on, roll-off vessel from Bacolod City to Iloilo.
