Guv: Use of face masks mandatory

THE use of face masks when going out in public is mandatory in the province.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson issued Executive Order No. 20-22, Series of 2020 requiring the mandatory use of face masks.

As a disease prevention and control measure in limiting the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), the Provincial Health Office has recommended the use of face masks to be mandatory when going out in public, the EO stated.

This means that all persons are required to wear face masks outside their residences within the territory of the province which will remain effective until lifted by the governor.

The EO also states that reusable face masks are encouraged.

Violations of the order shall be punishable in accordance with the applicable penalties provided under the law, the EO further stated.
