THE local government of Himamaylan City hosted the first-ever induction of officers and workshop of the Southern Negros Media Club with the theme: “Strengthening the Media Voice in Public Service Towards Meaningful Growth” in Himamaylan City Hall Friday, November 27, 2020.

Himamaylan Mayor Raymund Tongson expressed his sincere gratitude to the Southern Negros Media Club composed of various media personnel from Hinigaran to Hinoba-an with its president, Jun Gaton of Pasiplat DYAF/AM and Negros Daily Bulletin, for choosing Himamaylan City to be their host.

During the said workshop, Tongson promoted more events to be held in Himamaylan City in December 2020 such as the 5th District’s Philippine Councilors League Summit on December 5 and the possible convergence of Negros Occidental’s 6th Tour of the Fireflies Brigade.

Tongson also apprised the media of their Sisterhood Ties Renewal with the Municipality of Tayasan, Negros Oriental to officially be aired on December 3. (PR)
